Georgie B (AKA George Bromfield) was born in North London (UK) in 1963. And has been singing, writing, producing and DJ'ing within the music industry for the past 46 years, starting with the hit 80’s jazz funk band Second Image and now with the award winning Groove Association.
After leaving Second Image in the late 80's, Georgie B continued to work tirelessly within the music industry, sharing the stage (and worked with) many distinguished artists such as Womack & Womack, Bobby Womack, Jean Carn, MAZE (ft. Frankie Beverly), Reel 2 Reel, Phil Fearon, Rod Temperton (writer of 'Thriller' & 'Rock With You'), Paul Weller, Heatwave, Dawn Joseph, Shaila Prospere, Terri Green, Randy Hall, Dee Dee Simon, Output Input and many more. Plus a plethora of live and studio session performances around the globe.
In April 2011, Georgie B was invited to sing (with Second Image) at the 02 Theatre in London, as part of the 30 YEAR CELEBRATION OF BRIT FUNK. This sold out concert was a 'must attend' event for the soul family placing Georgie along side other great British soul / jazz funk acts such as Incognito, Imagination, Beggar & Co/Light Of The World, Junior Giscombe, David Joseph and Central Line.
As an accomplished singer / songwriter / producer and with the resurgence of the British ‘Jazz Funk’ scene, Georgie felt the time was right to go solo. So In 2011 he put together his GROOVE ASSOCIATION project and ‘Let's Break The Ice‘ was his first release, this was soon followed by 'Old Skool Magic'. Georgie B released his debut album in April 2012 entitled 'LET'S BREAK THE ICE'. This critically acclaimed album hit number 3 in the UK Soul Chart and paved the way for 3 more album releases, '3AM'. 'Soul Family Affair' and 'More And More'. These albums were real game changers for Georgie B, hitting No1 in multiple Soul charts simultaneously, picking up 2 Soul Survivor awards in 2016 for 'Best Soul Album' and 'Best Soul Artist/group plus in 2018 winning the Ground Breaking People's Choice Award for 'Best UK Soul Artist' helping Georgie to generate new fans all over the world!
November 2020 saw the release of Georgie B's 5th studio album 'IT'S BEEN SO LONG' featuring 12 tracks of classic soul / jazz fusion and RnB flavas! (With a sprinkling of Lovers Rock too). Then in December 2022 he released his 6th studio album “Reflection” featuring 13 tracks of classic 80' style soul and Jazz Funk. Also featuring Deborah Bell, Weston 'Wez' Foster, Rich Beggar, Dave Mascall and Ian Thompson. Both albums hit the #1 spot in the Uk Soul Chart for multiple weeks! generating a massive interest from not only UK and Europe, but USA and Japan too! Then to round it all off in March 2026 he released his 7th studio album “My Time To Shine”. featuring 13 tracks of classic soul, RnB and Jazz Funk, featuring Deborah Bell on the classic “Girls Wanna Party Too”. This current album is the perfect way to showcase Georgie B's singing, song writing and production talents.
